Packed with top 10 hits. The music brought me right back to high school days. The recording sound was flawless.
I bought this collection for two reasons. One,because it features Creedence Clearwater Revival's version of the late, great Ricky Nelson's "Hello Mary Lou"(a song written by the late, great Gene Pitney)that I had heard on a radio program(and I didn't necessarily want to purchase the original CCR album that it appears on,"Mardi Gras",their last).Secondly,I've owned the first(and more popular)edition of Chronicle for many years in different formats(first on vinyl, then cassette, and, finally,on CD).This disc makes a nice companion to that first volume, and, with that,as the title of my review states,is all the CCR you'll ever need. It's also nice that each volume appears on a single disc,so this is a worthwhile upgrade for the comparably bulkier 2 record vinyl sets of these releases.
Well worth owning. Kings of Leon must have been inspired by this talented bunch of musicians. Period. great band, wonderful collection of songs. Lead singer has a brilliant voice and they just rock.
First rate job. If you remember the lp's and the 45's and how they sounded, right up until the first scratch, you will get an inkling of the quality and the power this group was capable of. I like the sharpness that digital can do with the medium.
